Vendor

The planet Vendor is located in a small system along the Romulan Neutral Zone in the Beta Quadrant. It is the second planet in that system and is classified as a Class M world. It is home to the Vendorians, a cephalopodic shapeshifting non-humanoid species.

In 2264, philanthropist Carter Winston's ship crash-landed on Vendor. Despite their attempts to save him, he died the following year. The Federation quarantined the planet soon afterwards, finding the inhabitants to be psychologically unfit to interact with other cultures. (The Animated Series: "The Survivor")
