Umoth VII

Umoth VII is a Class M planet that was once home to a Federation colony, but whose ownership was transferred to the Cardassian Union according to the terms of the 2370 treaty that ended hostilities between the two powers. It was located within what later became the Cardassian Demilitarized Zone.

In 2370, the newly-formed Maquis believed Cardassian agents sabotaged the food replicators on Umoth VII in an attempt to poison colonists who refused to leave the planet. (DS9: "The Maquis, Part I"). Jem'Hadar shock troops garrisoned the planet during the Dominion War.
