Adults of the species grow about 24 inches in length, and about 8-10 inches high. They are covered with long, thick hair to protect them from the frigid temperatures of their native planet. Other distinguishing characteristics are a small horn atop the head, a line of short spikes along the back, and two long antennae. Typically they are a shade of brown in color. Females can give birth up to three or four in a litter, and they live in small packs of several generations.
