They relay orders and intelligence to other units, the [[Marine Commanding Officer]], and/or support craft to aid in a cohesive battle strategy. <br /> <br /> There are usually two or three assigned to a [[Marine Company Commander|company commander]] and one assigned to a [[Marine Platoon Commander|platoon commander]] or [[Marine Squad Leader|squad leader]].
