It was only in late 2385 when the [[USS Hathor]] located a distress beacon coming from Fallon that it was discovered by [[Starfleet]] that a large colony calling itself [[Damandor]] had been growing on the planet for hundreds of years.<br /> <br /> The soil of Fallon was believed to contain several heavy metals poisonous to humanoids, but it was later discovered that the heavy metals had been added by saboteurs.
