As such the &#039;&#039;&#039;Fire Suppression System&#039;&#039;&#039; was created. The computer is programmed to sense any fires and put them out. To do this the computer locates the fires location and surrounds it in a [[force Fields|force field]]. Doing this makes the fire burn up the available oxygen inside the force field and burn itself out, suppressing the fire. However the system can be tuned to allow some fires, such as in kitchens/bar establishments aboard Star Bases where exotic dishes require a fire to cook them. Also hand held suppression units are placed in Key areas such as the [[Bridge]] and [[Main Engineering]] for putting out fires quickly, to keep the damage to a minimum to the key systems.<br /> <br /> [[Category:Technology]]</div>
