As well, the wing commander is responsible for all the personnel assigned to the Wing on the ship/facility, and ensuring that combat readiness, mission specific load-outs, maintenance, and repairs are completed maximizing readiness.<br /> <br /> If more then 16 fighters are assigned to a ship it may have a Wing Commander.
