System 4 disrupter

The System 4 phase disrupter is a type of disrupter cannon deployed by the Cardassian Union on some of its most recent warships, even though it was originally designed as an armament for starbases. The System 4 has a power and rate of fire comparable to that of a Klingon Type 9 disrupter but it requires a much higher level of power than its Klingon counterpart, leading it to be carried in far smaller numbers.
