Brea Rift

The Brea Rift is a small starless void near Deep Space Five. It is unique in that sensor readings in the area are difficult to obtain. Its believed this is caused by the resonance of a long ago supernova. Starfleet has shown a recent interest in exploring the area beyond the rift. Mapping of the area was originally assigned to the USS Van Allen, but recently passed to USS Andromeda when the sector was assigned to Obsidian Fleet.
