The Federation Science Council is the organization tasked with overseeing the operation of civilian scientific endeavours throughout the United Federation of Planets. Though not a military organization, it has close ties with Starfleets Science Corps.
The Department of Temporal Investigations is one of the agencies which report to the Science Council
