The '''Thasians''' are a powerful non-corporeal race with considerable pyschokinetic abilities, native to the planet Thasus. They were thought to be myths by several species, but were confirmed as real by the ''USS Enterprise'' in 2266. That year the survey ship ''USS Antares'' (NCC-501) believed they had rescued a human survivor named Charles Evans from a crash on Thasus in 2249. He was transferred aboard the ''Enterprise'' to be taken to his closest living relatives on [[Colony Alpha V]].  Unfortunately, Charles had been given powers by the Thasians in order to survive but could not control them.  He took over the ''Enterprise'' and destroyed the ''Antares''.  Out of concern for the safety of others, Capt. Kirk agreed to return Charles to his adopted race. (''The Original Series'': "Charlie X")

A hollow asteroid about one hundred fifty miles in diameter, Yonada is not a planet but a spaceship constructed to appear as a natural body. Its inhabitants, who live within a protective inner shell unaware that their world is artificial, are the descendents of the ancient Fabrini race. Knowing that their sun was going nova, the Fabrini built Yonada, a vast ship powered by a form of nuclear propulsion, and sent it out on its ten-thousand-year voyage.

Near the end of the journey, however, a computer malfunction caused a change in the vessel's trajectory and threatened to send it crashing into Daran V. Fortunately, Federation intervention prevented the disaster. Returned to its original course, Yonada assumed orbit around its programmed destination, a planet now known as New Fabrina. New Fabrina, a Class M world, is the third planet of seven that orbit UFC 376082.
