| The '''Type 10 disrupter cannon''' is the [[Klingon Defense Force]]'s answer to large stationary targets and planetary installations and is classed by the [[Federation]] as a siege weapon. Designed to pack a massive punch, a single round from a Type 10 fires with a power level roughly a third greater than that of a [[Type XII]] [[phaser]] array. In beam mode, during which its discharge levels are reduced in favour of duration of strike, its power levels are comparable to the Type XII. However, this power comes at a significant price, both in accuracy and in charge up rate.

| Arguably the Type 10 is a weapon with limited applications. Its higher than nomal charge up rate and only average accuracy make it very poor at engaging moderately fast moving targets, which are easily able to evade the burst. Versus stationary or large targets, however, it is ideal.
