K type disrupter

The K type disruptor is the largest known emitter used on small non-combat Romulan craft such as long-range shuttles, named for K’Pek, the scientist credited with its development. While exact details are unknown, it is believed that this disruptor is more powerful than its Federation counterparts, yet this advantage is offset by an inability to link it in an array. It does, however, outdo comparable phaser arrays in terms of accuracy and range.
