Daedalus class

The Daedalus class was an early set of Starfleet vessels that were introduced in the 2160s. They ultimately replaced the NX-class. Unlike any Federation ship up to that time, the Daedalus' had a spherical-shaped primary hull. This would later inspire the successful Olympic class in later years. They were also the first Warp 7-capable ships. The ship's compliment was 229.
