New Horizon is a Class M planet near which Starbase 47 has been built.
Leased from the Ferengi Alliance by an Earth corporation called Starquest Enterprises, who are mining the planet for duranium, victurium, Verterium and tritanium. It is also the location of a civilian scientific base and top class resort.
Believed to be a hotbed of piracy.
