Lantaru Sector

The Lantaru Sector within Federation space is shrouded in secrecy. In the 2350s, a research facility was built on a classified planet in a classified system to study the Omega molecule. Led by Dr. Ketteract, the endeavor was named Project Omega. It's goal was to develop an endless supply of energy that would render all other sources unneeded. Hoping to string together several molecules, the experiment went horribly wrong in 2269 and exploded...wiping out the research facility. Although the work was never continued, the location and events that transpired there are kept secret at the highest levels.
