Starfleet Headquarters is the administrative center of Starfleet, located in San Francisco on Earth at what was previously the site of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in Marin County overlooking Horseshoe Bay.
It is the center of Starfleet Command and is located near Starfleet Academy.
It was built as the headquarters of the Earth Starfleet in the late-21st Century/early-22nd Century, and continued to serve as command center of Starfleet following the founding of the United Federation of Planets in 2161.
In late 2375, during the Dominion War, Starfleet Headquarters was attacked by the Breen. The buildings were badly damaged and many people were killed.
