The Stellar Biologist studies living organisms in the vast interstellar medium. Stellar Biology classifies species based on the environment rather than on taxonomy.
There’s normally only one Stellar Biologist on any ship unless said ship has a dedicated mission. Only on stations in area of high Stella life forms do we see base have more then one Stella Biologist.
The Stella Biologist reports to the CSciO, Chief Science Officer.
