The Duotronic Probe is an engineering tool used to regulate the plasma flow on a Starship. It operates by utilising a basic duotronic computer to measure the quantity of plasma which passes through a location at a set period of time. It is a relatively precise tool, suitable for most flow regulation calculations. A more modern and more precise form of this tool exists in the Gravitic Caliper.
