Paraagan II

Paraagan II is the second planet of the Paraagan System located in the Beta Quadrant. Paraagan colonists from nearby Paraagan I established a mining facility there in 2132. By 2152, the colony had grown to a population of 3600 and had many amenities similar to a small city.

Shortly after arriving in 2152, the Enterprise (NX-01) was believed to have accidently triggered the volatile tetrazine in the atmosphere which lead to the deaths of all the colonist. Later it was discovered that a Suliban stealth-cruiser had planted a device to cause the accident to smear the reputation of the ship and the Federation.

Since then, the colony has been restarted by the Paraagans. With Federation assistance, there have been projects to lower the amount of tetrazine, although vessels with plasma-based engines are still not allowed near the planet.
