The Paulson Nebula is an interstellar gas cloud located inside Federation space, near Zeta Alpha II. The nebular matter is composed of 82% dilithium hydroxyls, along with magnesium, chromium and other elements, providing an effective screen against sensors. In 2366, the USS Enterprise-D hid from a pursuing Borg cube inside the Paulson Nebula. The cube was eventually able to force the Enterprise from the nebula using a series of magnetometric guided charges.
The nebula is located at the edge of Obsidian Fleets patrol zone, near Obsidian Command and Starbase 97.
