Sauria is the fourth planet of nine orbiting UFC 512, a white star in an outer sector of Federation space. A world of moderate climate, Sauria's surface is evenly divided between land mass and open sea. There are no continents, only major islands that create a network of habitable terrain.

The Saurian race is reptilian and bipedal. Humanoid in shape, they have ruddy skin and large, yellowish eyes. Their four hearts give them great strength and endurance. The Saurian name for their world is Lyaksti'kton, which means "support of precious life."

Sauria has an artic climate and the weather can change rapidly, expect temperatures in the 30s to 60s during the days, with temperatures dropping to 10F to –10F at night. In the major city of Rethraen the typical low and high temperatures range from the mid-20’s at night to the mid-60’s during the day. It should be noted, however, that much of the city exists underground, allowing the temperatures to rise as high as 90F for the comfort of off-world tourists. When traveling off-planet, Saurians can survive in other climates but prefer to reside in dark, cool environments.
