Tessen

Tessen is the second of two moons that orbit the Class N planet WJN-293, found in the Tiamat Delta System. When discovered by the Grazerites in 2344, the moon was found to not only support life but also contain several rich veins of marketable minerals. Believing it to be unclaimed, the Grazerites set up a large mining operation which soon spawned a small colony. Two years later, however, the Talarian Republic protested the colony's existence, stating the system was within their territorial borders. With the possibility of war looming, the Federation was asked to mediate in 2347.

The newly commissioned USS Trailblazer was given the assignment of transporting the diplomatic team that ultimately defused the situation.

The Cardassians attacked the moon in 2365, making it look like a Talarian operation in hopes of drawing the Federation into a war with the Talarian Republic.
