Ensign Barron Performance Review (2373 Lt. Com R. Rynalds CT/SO USS Archer): After a year of service on the Archer by Ensign Barron under my command. Her service has been satisfactory. Ensign Barron is showing promise as a talented up and coming officer. During the past twelve months I have placed her in command of a small eight man unit and assigned her to provide security for Decks five through ten. During that time response times have dropped by thirty seconds. I've recommended to the Captain that she be enrolled in the SFA CEC for Intermediate Small Unit Tactics. Ensign Barron Performance Review (2374 Lt. Com R. Rynalds CT/SO USS Archer): Another year has passed since Ensign Barron has been assigned to the Archer. Her service has been upgraded from satisfactory to exceeding expectations. The war broke out last year and the Archer has been assigned to several task forces and participated in several skirmishes. Three of which have resulted in boarding parties. Over the last twelves months I've delegated organization and disposition of the quick response teams for repelling invasions. I've recommended her for a bronze star for her actions over the past year as well as a promotion to Lt. JG. The Ensign also completed her Bridge Crew Qualification Exam so that she can take my place on the bridge when duty takes me off the bridge. Lt. JG Barron Performance Review (2374 Lt. Com R. Rynalds CT/SO USS Archer): It's been three months since the last review. As the Lieutenant has been promoted and I have time I will update her performance review now. Lieutenant JG Barron's performance still exceeds expectations. She has been doing the work of my Assistant Chief for the past six months since Lieutenant Holton was killed during a mission. The war rages on and I have made her my Assistant Chief of Security and Tactical with her promotion to JG. While on the clock she is a machine, she keeps the schedules up to date, checks on the security and tactical staff and reports to me when needed. She even keeps our officers busy with drills. I have put her in for another bronze star and a purple heart for actions taken on Bethelma II. She's unusually tight lipped about it I had to pull rank to get anything more than a “It's in the report sir.” out of her, Petty Officer 3ed Class D'Anconia is following her lead. JG Barron, Assistant Chief Tactical/Security Officer, USS Archer. I find myself lucky to have her as my ACT/SO. Her performance has exceeded expectations especially since Lt. Commander Rynalds' reassignment and my taking over for him. She has been professional and helped me ease into my role on a new ship with the least amount of fuss possible. She's brought to my attention the trouble officers and the solid officers and NCO's I should lean on when needed. Since the last review she has been decorated twice more with purple hearts received during the Dominion War. Since her transfer from the Archer to the Untouchable she has slipped into the role of Chief quite nicely. She reworked the schedules and started breaking the security officers into 'fireteams' drilling them on small unit tactics and making them over all more efficient in the tight confines of a star ship. This is to be expected with veterans of the Dominion war, at least that was Councilor Rivea informs me. I've spoken to the Captain and have recommended Lt. Barron took over for me while I was on vacation for three months. During that time the ship was sent to investigate a rogue black hole that traversed within a light year of an inhabited system. They were able to ascertain that the black hole was traveling on a course that would take it withing half a light year. The inhabitants of the system did not have to worry as the rouge black hole would take 79,000 years to reach it's closes point. While this was not life threatening to the system it did allow astrometrics and science to gather data on celestial bodies and work on new theories regarding dark matter. Since her promotion and reassignment to Star Fleet Academy as the Senior Tactical/Security Instructor she has engaged the cadets with vigor and introduced new teaching programs. These programs have helped the less engaged students become interested in the course work. They know that at the end of the day they will have practical holodeck time where they can team up and work on putting the theoretical security doctrines to practical use. Commander Barron has worked with the engineering department to setup three new holodeck programs for the Security and Tactical cadets to train in. All three were based on situations the Commander found herself in during the Dominion War. One is planet based, one shipboard and the final scenario was an escort going up against three Jem Hadar bug ships. After hearing the case and seeing the security footage of Commander Barron striking Vice-Admiral B.N. Urna and General K'Tang (Attached to Ambassador N'Freng of the Klingon Empire's entourage) we find the defendant guilty of striking a superior officer and a representative of an allied power. There was not enough evidence presented to uphold the charges of dereliction of duty and insubordination. It is the finding of this Court-Marshal that Commander Barron be stripped of her rank and reduced to Lieutenant Junior Grade. She is also to be stripped of three month's salary. She will retain her time in grade and pay in grade as well as retirement at her last highest held grade. |
