		Air Medal For recognition of piloting abilities. For proficiency in the flight operation of various craft piloted during any mission. (Not to be confused with the Flying Cross which will be reserved for acts of bravery in flight)		Details

		Civilian Commendation Medal This award is for those civilians who play another side to Star Trek. This award should be awarded to civilians who make their character a joy to interact with and add another dimension to the game.		Details
		Crew's Choice award Voted on by the crew of the simm in question. No real criteria just the player which the crew feels excelled that month.		Details
		DeForest Kelley Humour Award This award is meant to help us all remember that a bit of light-heartedness goes a long way; even in the face of danger. DeForest Kelley was as much a comedian as he was an actor of the 20th century. Therefore this is as much a tribute to him as it is an award to any recipient. This award can be given to any player in Obsidian Fleet.		Details
		Departmental Service Badge: Command Awarded for service in the command department including departments of Command Strategic Operations Flight Operations and Communications. A player is eligible for the service badge of their department through commitment to their department over a period of time on the simm that the CO feels significant. 		Longevity Award - 2 years Awarded to crewmembers who have served on the ship for two years. This award is non-cumulative.		Details
		Friendship Ribbon For the development of a meaningful character relationship. The friendship may be either with an NPC of the player's own design or with another player character or another Player's NPC. The friendship should be an unfolding story over the course of multiple posts and impact the character(s) lives significantly. (*romantic relationships not included- please refer to the Rose Award in those instances)		Details
		Geordi LaForge Obstacle Citation This award is presented to those who have overcome a disability in order to perform their duties. While this could be anything from being blind or deaf to being mute or missing both thumbs this award is intended to recognize the achievements of those who have to overcome additional obstacles to get the job done. This award is for those individuals who have found clever and intriguing ways to counter their own personal handicaps in unique situations so as to equal or surpass the capabilities of able-bodied people around them. 		Good Conduct Medal For exceptional performance of one's duties. This medal denotes a committed and dependable individual both on and off duty.		Details
		Heart of the Tiger Awarded to the crew member who writes supreme battle posts making their posts enjoyable and exciting to read in the heat of battle. This award is given to one naval crew member and one marine crew member each time it is awarded if applicable.		Details
		Kublai Khan Award This award is presented to an individual who plays a key part of developing new tactical combat maneuvers while in hand-to-hand combat; not to be confused with the ship-to-ship award which is similar. Kublai Khan was a great Terran Chinese military strategist and warrior of the 13th century. Sample posts are required.		Details
		Library Excellence Ribbon Awarded for the best writing style: clear precise and easy to follow - yet allows the story to flow smoothly and easily passed off to another crew member. Also includes spelling and grammar used properly.		Details
		Marksmanship Ribbon For recognition of firearm abilities. Defense of the Federation and her Allies requires action. Proficiency with firearms is a valued skill and this ribbon is to recognize those individuals who prove exceptional in their use.		Details
		Medal of Honor This medal is awarded for the showing of bravery and valor in the heat of combat. Recipients of this medal can serve in any department.		Details
		Meritorious Newcomer of the Month Award This award will be given to the newcomer who makes themselves known and puts in the most effort to make their character a valuable addition.		Details
		Most Improved Player of the Month This award will be given to the player who shows the most improvement from the previous month. Truly an award to be cherished as it is a result of a lot of time and hard work		Details
		Non-Player Character Award For the development of Non-Player Characters. The lives of our characters are in a setting populated by countless other people who are important to our featured individuals. This award marks the achievement of a player for his/her development of engaging detailed NPCs who add realism and dimension to the simm.		Details
		Longevity award - 1 year Awarded to crewmembers who have served on the ship for one year. This award is non-cumulative.		Details
		Service Citation - 6 months Awarded to a member of the crew who has served with the ship for at least 6 months. This award is non-cumulative.		Details
		Outstanding Volunteer Award For the player who makes every effort to find significant ways to lend a hand to the simm's command staff.		Details
		Plot Development Citation For developing the current plot line and making it original and unexpected yet not unbelievable. In other words the crew member who throws the best monkey wrenches into the plot to make it interesting but not totally off center.		Details
		POW Ribbon of Sacrifice Given to Starfleet officers who are captured by enemy forces for any length of time.		Details
		Professional Merit Awarded to the character who has developed his/her character with considerable talent making that character a joy to interact with		Details
		Purple Heart Awarded to personnel who are injured in the line of duty. They do not have to be on their deathbed or even have broken limbs and such. Basically any crew member with an injury or injuries that a CO feels worth making record of should receive this award.		Details
		Recruitment Award For recognition of recruitment successes.		Details
		Ribbon of Merit This ribbon is used to symbolize the great sacrifice that the men and women of Starfleet endure.		Details
		Rose Award Awarded to the crew member who has made significant romantic character advancements. This has become an award in itself because romance gives a sense of realism and constant battle-only posts can get stale. Crew members who progress their characters in a romantic setting deserve recognition in this respect.		Details
		Service Accommodation Awarded to the crew member who performs his/her character's job and advances above and beyond the job description they were hired to follow.		Details
		Technical Medal Awarded to the crewmember who follows the technical standards of the Star Trek universe incorporating them into their posts with nearly flawless precision.		Details
		Tour of Duty : Kzinti This ribbon is issued to all participating players at the end of a mission that posts the sim to the borders or interior regions of Kzinti space.		Details
		Tour of Duty : Borg This ribbon is issued to all participating players at the end of a mission that posts the simm to the borders or interior regions of Borg space.		Details

		Zefram Cochrane Medal of Exploration Given to those officers who discover a noteworthy place or thing. This could be anything from a new and strange planet or moon an abnormal nebula or subspace distortion ancient ruins of a civilization long past or anything else of this nature. As any Academy graduate should know Zefram Cochrane was the first Terran to accomplish warp speed. Sample posts are required.		Details
		Antagonist Award This award denotes a player's exceptionally well crafted villain who has contributed to a simm's plot line convincingly over a series of posts.		Details
		Community Builder Citation This crew member is always going out of his/her way to help the crew connect with one another and knit the simm much closer together.		Details
		Creativity Award The Creativity Award is presented to those who come up with an outstanding idea during a mission.		Details
		Exemplary Courage Medal Officers who put themselves in grave danger by going far beyond the normal call of duty qualify for this medal.		Details
		Flying Cross Presented to a Flight Control Officer for exhibiting outstanding flying abilities.		Details
		Geneva Peace Ribbon This ribbon is presented to individuals who were responsible for attaining a peaceful resolution between two conflicting parties.		Details
		Humanitarian Cross In recognition of efforts to relieve the suffering of any person(s) within or outside of Federation borders.		Details
		Intelligence Prowess Award This award is given to an Intelligence Officer who has gone out of their way to protect and better Theta Fleet.		Details

		Patterson Ribbon of Excellence This is issued to Starfleet's Medical officers who do something very special in the field.		Details
		Ribbon of Committment Given to a person who has truly put forth an indisputable amount of extra effort.		Details
		Ribbon of Compassion This ribbon is for those in the Counseling field. The awardee must have truly gone out of their way to help out a fellow crew member.		Details
		Scheherezade Award Named after the mythical heroine of the Arabian Nights the Scheherezade awards the intricate story-crafting which is displayed within Theta Fleet. This goes beyond simple matters of spelling grammar and legibility; rather it is for the obvious effort put into posts to make them enjoyable to read for all members of a platform and not just as enjoyment for the writers who created them		Details
		Silver Star The crew member who demonstrates supreme postings posts often and plays his/her character to the hilt will receive this award. Arguably considered one of the highest honors a crew member can receive.		Details
		Tactical Superiority Award Presented to individuals who play a major role (or even solely) develop new tactics and/or combat manuevers while in ship-to-ship combat; not to be confused with the hand-to-hand award which is similar.		Details
		United Federation of Planets Pip Only a very few and elite people have ever attained this prestigious honor. To receive it a person must single-handedly save the Federation from imminent destruction.		Details
		Outstanding Character Award This award recognizes the efforts put forth by a crew member; as recognized by his/her fellow crew members and Commanding Officer.		Details
