| Education | Zack received his early education on Starbase Aurora, where he was born. He did nothing better than acceptable at every subject but engineering and math. In the olden days, he would have had a place reserved for him at university, simply because of his birthright. It was often teased that if you unwound the DNA of a Chandler, it spelled out engineer. But Zack studied hard as he got closer to enrollment age, and passed the entrance exams with slightly better than acceptable scores in English and History, but off the charts with engineering and math; as expected. |

| Personal History | Zack had an idyllic childhood. Teething on spent plasma torches, burping up over spilled isolinear chips, and generally carrying on the family tradition of being an engineer. He actually got along with his baby sister, and was too involved in engineering schematics to remember to have a rebellious teenage years. By the time he was a senior, his parents had moved from Starbase Aurora back to Earth. He ended up doing his senior cruise on the Starbase he'd grown up on. An accident on the station, and a misaligned emergency force field, severed his left leg right above the knee, and left the detached limb to the vacuum of space. His body continually rejected any bio-neural implant, so he helped design his own prosthetic. |
