Additional Information
| Description | The Bridge is based on the same design as used in Generations on the Enterprise D before her demise. The major change from the layout seen in Next Gen is the addition of several consoles on the wall where banks of computers used to sit. On a long range explorer like the Wolff, the extra consoles are needed to support ongoing operations. Most stations (#1-#6) are the same as seen on the shows (CO, XO, Advisor, Conn, Ops, Tactical) but several notable changes have been made. The port side wall (#15-#17) is dedicated to Mission Ops and has three stations. Mission Ops is normally unmanned except when away teams are off ship, and when manned, are tasked with monitoring those away teams. These stations can also be used by sciences when otherwise unneeded by Ops. The starboard side (#12-#14), is dedicated to Sciences and is usually manned by at least one person during normal operations. The aft bank of consoles (#7-#11), which traditionally held Sciences 1 & 2, as well as Mission Ops, Environmental, and Engineering have been changed up. During normal operations, Stations 7-9 are available for general use by bridge officers as required. Environmental has been merged into Engineering so stations 8 and 9 are available to engineering as required. During certain scenarios, the general use stations can be reconfigured for sensor and/or comms use as required. |
