Mission: The Silent Scream
Location: USS Eagle. Part One.
Timeline: July 04th @ 1800 hours

USS EAGLE, Medical Guest Quarters:

Arendalwyn Miteryl, sat in her guest quarter's reading up on the latest research trials for her Interspecies Conference presentation for next year. Dr. Miteryl, looked up as the Captain of the Eagle, pressed the chime to her quarters and called out, "Doctor Miteryl, it's Captain Jackson , may I speak with you?"

She rose and opened her door. Smiling up at the handsome Captain and said, "Good morning. Captain Jackson, how may I help you?" She motioned towards the large comfy chair and sofa. He took a seat and she sat across from him.

"Well, since we are several hours out from your new Ship, I thought it proper to invite you to breakfast with the Captain. My treat, in the Captain's private dining hall." His eyes so friendly, small curl to his lips.....

"Why thank you, Captain Jackson, and please call me Arendalwyn, all my friends do." He smiled, looking relieved.... "Please call me Jack. "

Arendalwyn looked at him and said, "I hope my Civillian clothing is okay?" He nodded his approval as they walked out of her quarters took the lift to the Captain Dining Hall deck.


Captain's Private Dining Hall:



Jack motioned for her to enter as the doors opened and the lights sprang on. She noted a lovely table, fresh flowers and morning candles on the table. Jack pulled out a chair for her, she smiled, thanked him and sat down....

He sat across from her ... soon the Chef brought out a drink cart. Coffee, tea juice. Jack ask, "Coffee?"

"Yes, black please, Jack."

He poured her a cup handed it to her and poured himself one.

As they sipped coffee and talked, Chef brought our crepes and mulberry syrup. With bacon and a side of mixed fruit.

"Mmmmmmm smells and looks delicious. " Arendalwyn said to Chef. He nodded and bowed slightly..

Jack's, big crepes and loaded bacon arrived. "Ooohhh, he said and said sampling the food. Excellent as always, Chef."

As they ate, Jack told her about their next mission, and about his days on a long haul freighter when he was a child.

He ask. "So, what made you take the assignment on the Wolff?"

She swallowed and drank cranberry juice then replied. "Well, my assignment on my pervious ship ended, and the ship in for refit sooo, I needed work." She concluded and smiled....

Jack smiled and ask. "Would you care to join me this evening in a holosuite program, its of Risa's entertainment district, the Restaurant's, that all night Seafood and fusion jazz club."

Arendalwyn smiled, "it would be my pleasure, Jack."

After they concluded breakfast, Jack showed her around the ship. She was impressed with refit updates. Especially to Eagles Sickbay.

Captain's Ready Room:

Jack escorted her to his ready room. Where he finished up his reports and they chatted ...

"So, if ever there was a time of missed opportunities, once again I just hired a new CMO for this ship." He said with a chuckle.

Arendalwyn smiled. She had a strange feeling she had seen, met Jack somewhere before....

He finished off his work and looked up... She was staring at him... He grinned and pulled up something on his vide screen, turning it around for her to see. She recognized the setting. It was Bryant-Denny Stadium, during a Football Game. There she was pom poms in her hands, they were chanting the end of a winning game cheer as the final seconds ticked off the clock.... "Hey bullies ...hey billies.. we just beat the hell outta you! Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer, give em hell....Alabama." the crowd roared .... the game over... UA 52 Billies 0. Arendalwyn, turned as one of the players tossed a Crimson Rose her way. She caught it looking up into the players eyes. Number 18, Jack Major Jackson, RB.

Arendalwyn smiled as she looked from the computer to Jack. "Oh my goodness, it is you! You were a grade ahead of me, and with my schedule and yours, we rarely saw each other except on GameDay. "

Jack chuckled. "Yes, and I have to admit, I always had a crush on you. "

They left his Ready Room together that evening and made their way to the holosuite. Risa awaited them.


Holosuite One:

Computer play Risa Captain's program 1.

"Enter when ready." The Computer voice called out.

Walking into the lush Seafood night club. The place was jumping with fusion jazz, dancers filled the dance floor....

Jack offered his arm, lead her to the dance floor. A slow sultry song began to play..... He took her in his arms, and they danced.

Jack held her close, it was so long since their last dance at the Elephant Stomp Pep rally and bon fire.

Arendalwyn, laid her head on his chest, as they danced she remembered their last real dance at the pep rally.....

As they floated along the dance floor, Jack motioned to the Madre D' , who nodded and motioned towards the open doors. Jack took her hand and lead her to the deck, and the awaiting boat. He helped her into it and they sailed off into the Duel Suns setting...

Arendalwyn smiled and said. "So beautiful."

Jack looking only at her replied..... "yes she is."

Arendalwyn blushed as his gaze intensified....

They sailed into the dimming light.... it was beautiful, almost as the real Risa.

Arendalwyn, looked at Jack and said... "We must not use touch this time. We could plan to meet once or twice a year as our schedules permit."

Jack laughed and said, "I concur...we must keep intouch."

He took her hand as their boat touched the dock on the other side of the bay... he lead her up to a private villa.... Opening the door, they walked into a large comfy living room.

Arendalwyn smiled and sat down on the sofa. Looking at the flowers and food left by the Risian Staff..

She sampled chocolate candy.... "Mmmmmm, very good."

Jack smiled and sampled some. "Oh definitely good chocolate. "

He kissed her forehead and sat down beside her.......

The two talked about old times.... Jack held her hand.... they laughed and drank apple cidar, ate pecan pralines....

Jack ran nimble fingers through his hair, he listened to her talk about the time they bowled all night for charity.....

Arendalwyn giggled as he talked about the times he had tried to impress her, on the practice field when she would stroll by for cheer practice...

As they talked, the fire crackled in the fireplace.


It had been a long journey, since their University days. Thankfully, the fates brought them back together again, even if....but for a little while....

Jack looked down at her and ask... "Midnight swim?"

Arendalwyn chuckled and said. "Let me replicate a swimsuit." She went to the dressing room, ordered a one piece houndstooth swim suit with matching water sandals, she changed and picked up a towel.

She returned to the fireplace room where Jack waited in red swim trunks. They departed the villa and made their way to moon light cove for a secluded swim. The waters were cool, as they stepped into the water.

Arendalwyn swam out to the middle and watched Jack as he swam under water. She floated and looked up at the bright moon and star light....

Jack swam up beside her and they floated along, watching large starfish gently floating into the cove......

The Starfish looked like stars down from the Risian heaven's, Red, Yellow, Green, Tan beautiful species floating slowly in the bay for rest and relaxation through the night.

Arendalwyn, smiled as she swam into the under water cave, exploring the cavern that had lights carefully placed within and sensors tripped the on switch when a swimmer broke the entrance of the cave door.

"Lovely!" She said as she walked around...

Jack joined her. Picking up guest towels for them both.... They towel led off and sat looking around at the stalactites and stalagmites.... the Risa resort owners had place mood lighting throughout the splendid cave.

Arendalwyn, looked around as staff brought champagne and will berries, the trays lavishly decked with assorted fruit... the bubbly wine pink and pretty.

"I may never want to leave Risa if I ever visit for real." She said to Jack and sipped the bubbly.

Jack laughed, "Well, you are getting top guest treatment. We don't usually have this much time to indulge.... but, I haven't had time off in 24 months and, my CMO recommended some down time." He said and winked...

As the Eagle sped through diamond stars and obsidian night, the two friends continued a 'Once upon a dream, night...'
