==Introduction====Physical Profile==Alex is of average build. A small scar runs just above his left eyebrow, the result of a childhood accident at home.==Psychological Profile==A lot of Alex's strengths, and weaknesses, stem from his personality. Diagnosed with ADHD as a child (something the Federation no longer classifies as a disorder, merely a unique quirk of a person) Alex can be very focused but also extremely absent minded. He tends to start a lot of things but never finishes them.Alex is a quiet reserved man, tending to keep to himself and his family. He eventually does open up to the people around him though it takes some time. Brought up in the center of the federation, with almost everything he could ask for, Alex nevertheless longed for something more, something he couldn't find on earth.His teenage years would be rocky, though looking back he'd never change what happened. During his tenth grade year, Alex fell in love with a young Bajoran girl named Meru Jatrem. The two became almost inseparable, a good thing considering that late in the school year, Meru found out that she'd become pregnant by Alex, and was expecting twin daughters.During this time (before Meru knew about her pregnancy), Meru's mother was killed in an accident when the shuttle she was in crashed in a remote part of earth, leaving no survivors. As Alex was already close to Meru, Alex's parent's (close friends of Meru's mother) took legal custody of Meru. When they found out Meru was expecting, plans to adopt Meru were shelved, but they remained her legal guardians.During this time, Alex had started to hang around several other boys whose parent's were starfleet officers. The stories they told tugged at Alex's heart and he came to understand what his heart had been saying all along, he was meant to be in the stars.When he turned 18, Alex applied to Starfleet Academy and was accepted. With his parents help, Meru was also able to enter the academy majoring in operations.
