Beta XII-A

Beta XII-A is a small planetoid (although rated as Class M, a rarity), that was once the location of a Human agricultural colony, with a population of one hundred. This planet is located in the Beta Quadrant, between Klingon space and the Rigelian colonies.

In 2268, the crew of the USS Enterprise answered a distress call from the colony only to discover that it had allegedly been destroyed by the Klingons.

The incident was later determined to be a false memory created by a non-corporeal entity to incite a feud between the crews of the Enterprise and Klingon battle cruiser. (TOS: "Day of the Dove")
