The Biomedical Systems Specialist is an engineer is stationed near the main sickbay, usually tucked in among the medical labs. He is responsible for the upkeep of all medical equipment aboard the ship ranging from bioscanners to medical grade containment field generators. While technically part of the engineering department, a biomedical equipment specialist would also receive orders from the Chief Medical Officer. A typical day for a biomedical equipment specialist can range from installing and calibrating new medical equipment, repairing and testing old equipment or anything else that the Chief Medical Officer requires.
