Cardassian regenerative shielding

The Cardassian counterpart to the Federation's regenerative shielding and based on similar principles, this type of shielding provides excellent protection to Cardassian ships of the line and installations. At its inception, it was more powerful and durable than the Federation's regenerative shielding, but military cutbacks have seen its post-deployment development heavily curtailed, allowing the Federation to catch up with it.
