Civilian Affairs Officer

The Civilian Affairs Officer is found on starbases. Along side a medical clinic and security office, it is one of the Starfleet offices located within the promenade. Similar to the diplomatic department, civilian affairs are responsible for ensuring that the station's civilian population's concerns are heard and addressed by the command staff. It is an office that interacts with all other departments. The civilian affairs officer is also commonly allowed to attend senior staff meeting in order to raise concerns on behalf of the station's civilian population.

Civilian Affairs Officers are usually part of the Operations staff but occasionally are drawn from other departments.
