Copernicus Ship Yards

The Copernicus Ship Yards are a starship construction facility maintained by Starfleet in orbit of Luna. It is one of the oldest active Federation shipyards, dating back to the days when ships were built for United Earth during the 2100s. Copernicus pioneered the design and construction of four-nacelle ships, such as the old Constellation-class cruisers. Cheyenne class and Prometheus class ships are still constructed there, as well as more "traditional" two-nacelle vessels.

Ships of note constructed here included the USS Hathaway (under the auspices of the Yoyodyne Division).
