Donatu V

Donatu V is a Class L planet located along the Federation-Klingon border in the Beta Quadrant. It is located in the same sector as Sherman's Planet and was one of several planets disputed over between the two powers until the 2260s. A sharp engagement was fought here between Starfleet and the Imperial Klingon Fleet in 2245, one of a handful of battles that broke out during the "cold war" of the 22nd and 23rd Centuries.

Ownership was settled in 2267 with the acceptance of the Treaty of Organia, giving the Klingons control but allowing Federation vessels unobstructed passage.

During the Dominion War, Donatu V served as a major Klingon logistics base.
