Efata

Efata is a Class L planet located near the Phendrana Drifts, so close in fact that even though its location is known it has never been surveyed due to dangers from the Drifts. Much of the planet is hot and dry desert, with small bodies of water dotting the surface. The native Efati live mostly underground or in huge stone temples to escape the harsh environment.

As of 2386, the Efati are considered hostile by the Federation given their current belief in the Borg being gods. Starfleet strongly encourages vessels to avoid the planet and the Drifts in general, as the Efati have a history of attacking passing ships.
