Fallon

A Class L Planet within the Romulan Neutral Zone.

Though the location of Fallon was known to both the United Federation of Planets and the Romulan Star Empire for centuries, the planet was of little strategic or resource value to either power, and upon establishment of the RNZ, the existence of the isolated planet was soon forgotten. It was only in late 2385 when the USS Hathor located a distress beacon coming from Fallon that it was discovered by Starfleet that a large colony calling itself Damandor had been growing on the planet for hundreds of years.

The soil of Fallon was believed to contain several heavy metals poisonous to humanoids, but it was later discovered that the heavy metals had been added by saboteurs. Terraforming projects on Fallon appear to have mixed results.
