Intelligence Duty Uniform

The field officer conducts his work in the field, joining away missions or supporting diplomatic missions and both reporting and collecting information about their mission specific objectives. Often in the field operatives are expected to conduct missions that involve gathering first hand observations, this can include taking images of a target or the covert "removal" of information from target installations.

Most field officers have some degree of military training, many are former marines or other Starfleet personnel who are now working for intelligence. These operatives apply their previous assignment knowledge to their assignments and often are called upon to conduct operations both undercover and in the open.
