Fighter shielding system

Developed in 2385 for mounting on fighters, the fighter shielding system utilizes recent advances in shielding technology to increase the shield output to power ratio of the ordinary light shielding system. This means that for a generator of the same size nearly double the level of shield protection is afforded to the Federation’s latest fighters. The upgrade enables both faster shield regeneration and much higher levels of damage absorption.
