First Mothers

The First Mothers were a group of highly educated women of various Pan-Asian nations who fled Earth in the late Twenty-First Century, while Colonel Green's Optimal Movement was gathering power. They stole an ice freighter in dry dock to be fitted with the new Cochrane warp drive and headed out to the stars.

Because of their concern of pursuit and persecution, they established a somewhat xenophobic society on their new world, Vega II, which they named Home. Due to the inhospitability of the Class L planet, they used genetic engineering to turn their decendents into a new species, the Besm.
