Knight of the Empire is a title bestowed primarily upon members of the Zarnac Imperial Military who perform acts which bring great honor upon the Empire, the families, or the Emperor himself. Such acts include winning a battle or carrying out orders through great adversity.
Commoners are able to become Knights of the Empire, making them (and their families) one step below the nobility.
