Minos Korva

Minos Korva is a Federation colony located near the Demilitarized Zone and the border with the Cardassian Union. It is the lone planet in the Minos Korva System of the Dorvan Sector; a Class M entity known for its seemingly endless rolling hills. It had a population of 2 million in 2370, and most lived in elaborate buildings cut into the sides of hills or small valleys. Terrace farming was prevailant, and vast fruit orchards and vineyards dotted the planet.
In 2369, the Cardassians planned to resume hostilities with the Federation and began by invading Minos Korva, hiding a large invasion force in the nearby McAllister C-5 Nebula and having Gul Madred capture and torture Capt. Jean-Luc Picard for information on the defense of Minos Korva. However, due to the efforts of Capt. Edward Jellico and the crew of the USS Enterprise the invasion failed. During the Dominion War between 2373-75, Minos Korva was on the front-lines of the Dominion advance into the Alpha Quadrant. The Dominion was unable to capture the planet, due to the large Starfleet defense force of Nebula, Norway and Steamrunner-class ships. It was one of the few Federation worlds not overrun by the Dominion near the DMZ.
There is a museum dedicated to the veterans of the Dominion War located in the capital city of Edon. By 2379, there were numerous Bajoran and Cardassian families settling on the planet.
