Overview

This is the branch of the dedicated science divisions within the Federation that is tasked with the hands-on research of the deepest seas in the Federation.

Equipment and Submarines

Lowell Class Research Base

The only Federation base that is able to be placed on the floor of the deepest seas on almost any planet in the Federation, the Lowell Class - the Oceanic Research Division's only deep sea station.

Submergence Suit

At the bottom of the deepest oceans things sometimes go wrong. When this happens, the crew of the Lowell use the Submergence Suit to repair damage and investigate objects of interest that call for a small steam team when a submersible isn't available.

Hunley Class Shuttle

The Hunley class is a multi-environmental shuttle that is able to operate in space, a planet's atmosphere or the deepest oceans. The shuttle is the main means of transport for the Lowell Class station. It is also the only emergency escape means for the station.
