Ornaran

The Ornarans are a humanoid race of people duped into the belief that they are dependent on a supply of a certain drug called felicium to combat a supposedly ongoing plague on Ornara. The Ornarans are shown that they are being taken advantage of. The plague had been long since over come and they have not needed to remain on the drug. Their suppliers the Brekkians had been keeping them addicted to the medication in order to profit from them.

Ornarans are not particularly bright overall, mostly due to the planet wide drug abuse of the people. There is some future hope for the planet, as the crew of the Enterprise exposed the ploy to the populace of Ornara. It is now up to the Ornaran people themselves to free themselves from generations of dependency on the felicium.

Ornarans have the natural ability to produce a small bio electrical charge through their hands. They look very much like Humans save a thumb print-sized indention between their eyes.
