Pentara Trade Consortium

The Pentara Trade Consortium is a group of five planetary governments banded together for economic benefit. It is located across the Brea Rift. The consortium's planets each have an independent government much like in the 21st century European Economic Union, but share a common currency. They use their combined economic power much more effectively than they could individually. Each of the systems involved has a major star port which are specialized to work with the kind of traffic that the local planet needs to ship their resources. For example, Natal IV is a major mining center and the docking facilites are built to bulk transport specifications.
