The phasic cloaking device is an advanced type of cloaking device that allows a starship to travel through solid matter and high-energy fields. A molecular phase inverter moves the ship out of phase with the spacetime continuum. It is currently only used on Romulan Scout vessels, although many other races, including the Klingons and even the Federation have attempted to develop one.
