Phylos II

Phylos II is Class M and the second plant orbiting a large orange star at the upper, outer edge of the Federation's quadrant-three-south. It is the home of an abundance of plant life, though no native animals live there. Phylos II's flora gives the world a brilliant green appearance.

Indigenous life includes the Phylosians and a plant known only as a swooper, a mindless flying attack creature approximately fifteen feet long. Phylos' retlaw plant, a seemingly harmless flower about seven inches high, is a mobile, highly toxic organism. Its sting produces paralysis and quickly results in death unless counteracted by a chemical antidote, which is secreted by the native Phylosians' bodies.
