Politician

Position Description

A politician is someone who is involved in influencing public policy and decision making. Politicians seek a position of power that enables them to influence, create or enforce government policy at the local, planetary or federal level. This includes people who hold decision-making positions in government, and people who seek those positions, whether by means of election, inheritance, coup d'état, appointment, electoral fraud, conquest, divine right, or other means. Politics is not limited to governance through public office.

They do this by seeking political office, holding office and conducting themselves according to the laws governing that position.
