The Klingon Empire's Scout Shielding system was developed initially for the first of what Federation observers would recognise as a classic Bird of Prey design over 150 years ago. Doubtless, this system has been uprated somewhat over the years and with the latest version mounted on both D-13 and D-14 variants of the BoP is comparable in strength to the Federation's Standard shielding system, but without the ability to dissipate heat as effectively.
