Shanghai Underground

A secretive organisation of crime, violence and money, their origins are sourced to be from Earth, where for generations the Elders have dictated the organisation with iron hands, cruel hearts, and ruthless minds.

From small beginnings of a vicious crime circle containing some of the strongest families on main land China, the Shanghai Underground, today, has now spread its power and reach far outside the Sol system, but to what extent is unknown. They have been known to have dealings as far as the borders of the Romulan Neutral Zone, Cardassia, as well as illegal smuggling operations within the Sol system to neighboring systems such as Vulcan.

Any agents captured who are suspected of working for the Shanghai Underground or of having any affiliations with the organisation have either denied the fact, have a lack of evidence to support any charges being made, or have been killed in strange circumstances. This makes obtaining any information about the current dealings and power of the organisation extremely difficult for security and intelligence forces. One thing is for certain, however, and that is they have not shown themselves to be an extreme threat to Universal Peace...yet.
